Coachella Music Festival Weekend 2 has been full of surprises. BetweenMadonna joining Sabrina Carpenter on stageandJustin Bieber serenading Billie Eilish with “One Less Lonely Girl,”this year’s headliners have proven that just because we already saw their sets last weekend doesn’t mean they won’t feel totally fresh this time around. And joining in on the fun,Addison Raeleveled up her main stage performance with a little help from a fellow pop princess.
Singing “Headphones On” in her pink latex bra and red fringe skirt, Rae welcomedOlivia Rodrigoto the stage, prompting a unexpected duet that had the crowd in cheers. As the two skipped around the stage hand in hand, they sang the rest of the song together—before transitioning into a live debut of the guest star’s new single,“Drop Dead.”

For the performance, Rodrigo blended her new project’s girly, pink visual identity with Rae’s—wearing a custom leather bra from R&M Leathers, a favorite of the “Aquamarine” singer. The piece was embellished with ruffle detailing and a studded bow, and stylist duo Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo paired it with low-rise Bluey Denim jeans. For shoes, the team went with cream Christian Louboutin Mary Jane heels.
Released ahead of her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, “Drop Dead” arrived on Friday with a Petra Collins-directed music video (filmed at Versailles!) and a first look at what this next chapter might entail. Other than a sweet night-of karaoke video, in which Rodrigo sang along to her single with friends, she had yet to perform the track. But Coachella with Rae seemed like a pretty good place to start.
